Removing the genuine center garnish

Be sure to turn off the vehicle and make sure it is parked before carrying out this work.

Remove the plastic clip from the cover.

Remove the cover and set it aside for reinstallation later.

Because the trunk is elevated, only four of the six bolts need to be removed to prevent the top of the rear trunk from falling off.

Then remove the two bolts on either side of the trunk.

Remove the upper rear trunk section

Disconnect the connector connection from the trunk.

Remove the two remaining bolts. At this time, slowly lift the upper part of the rear fuselage and apply upward pressure to make it easier to remove. *Please work with at least two people as this is dangerous.

Remove the trunk strip trim

Remove the screw at the rear of the strip trim.

Remove the strip trim by pushing the plastic pin downward and forward.

Processing the mounting support part

Cut and trim each supported plastic piece evenly to allow enough space to install the LED trunk garnish.
*Please process the product while trial fitting.

Drill two holes in the locations shown in the image large enough to pass the LED trunk garnish cords through.

Installing the LED trunk garnish

Pass the cord through the hole you made .
*There is a protective sticker on the button part of the LED trunk garnish, so please peel it off before installation.

Next, install the LED trunk garnish by pressing firmly and snapping it into the support to secure it in place.

Reinstall the screws to secure the LED trunk garnish in place.

Connect the wiring using the included cord and included electrical tap.
Connect the two green wires from the trunk garnish to the red wire of the included cord using an electrotap.
Similarly, connect the two black cords from the trunk garnish to the black cords of the included cords using an electrotap.
Do not use dielectric grease.

Use a utility knife to make a hole in the dust rubber cover on the driver's seat so that the cord can pass through. * After passing the wire through, make sure to waterproof the dust rubber cover.

Reinstall the trunk section into the vehicle by reversing the removal procedure, then reinstall the grommet into the trunk and reconnect the connector.

Wiring the cord

Route the wiring towards the driver's side tail light. If necessary, remove the grommet that connects the trunk to the body before working on it.
Do not use dielectric grease.

Remove the driver's side tail light by lifting off the plastic guard cover and loosening the three 10mm bolts that secure the tail light in place.

Carefully pull the tail light towards the rear of the vehicle to remove it.

Separate the tail light and the connected connector.

Pull the wiring out through the hole in the image to the tail light side.

Connect the wired connector to the black connector of the included signal branch harness. The branch connector has a waterproof connector attached, so remove it before connecting.
Connect the included signal branching harness between the tail lamp and the vehicle.

Reinstall the tail lights

Install the tail lamp in the reverse order of removal.
* Be careful not to pinch the wiring.

After installation, check that the light works.
